I’m humbled and honored to share that Dr. Accius and Ms. Kerber have been elected to our board. Dr. Accius has been a critical ingredient to our success ever since he first heard about us in 2016. His passion for supporting family caregivers is also demonstrated in his everyday work at AARP in his role as Senior Vice-President of Global Thought Leadership & International Affairs. Ms. Kerber has also been a staunch advocate of ours ever since she first heard about us in late 2020. She brings to our mission her own personal life changing caregiving experience as well as decades of experience in marketing and development and in her current role of Business Development and Partnership Outreach Lead at CaringBridge. We are thrilled to officially join forces with Dr. Accius and Ms. Kerber. I have no doubt they will both help us close the enormous gap between how many guy caregivers we get the opportunity to serve and the 16 million of them across the United States.

I am inspired by Jack’s Caregiver Coalition and the innovative ways the organization is helping to support male family caregivers. I strongly believe that Jack’s is a model as to how best to reach, support and empower men who finds themselves in a caregiving capacity. I have been blown away by many of the engagements that have brought men together to talk about their experiences and even their fears..to showcase that while the caregiving journey can be tough at times, there are moments that are rewarding and that you don’t have to do this alone. There is a band of brothers, if you will, that you can lean on when times get weary.
